RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (The Adobo Chronicles, Riyadh Bureau) – Tens of thousands of Filipino overseas workers (OFWs) in the Middle East are planning to stage simultaneous rallies in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar this weekend to burn effigies of anti-Duterte blogger Raissa Robles.
The OFWs are also gathering copies of Robles’ book on Martial Law to be burned during the rallies.
The decision by the Philippines’ modern heroes came just days after Robles posted a tweet challenging pro-Duterte OFWs to leave their overseas employment and come home to the Philippines to enjoy the changes put in place by President Duterte.
In a statement issued by the Middle East Coalition of OFWs, the groups challenged Robles “to permanently leave the Philippines if she thinks that the situation in the country is that bad.”
Robles has not returned calls from The Adobo Chronicles, requesting for comment.
