MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The New York Times (NYT), known for its sensational reports and editorials bashing the Philippines under President Rodrigo Duterte, may have finally met its match in the person of Ex-Philippine President NoyNoy Aquino.
Aquino is suing the Pulitzer Prize-winning U.S. publication.
In a recent article, NYT blamed Aquino for the vigilante killings now happening under the new administration of Duterte.
“I thought NYT was on my side,” Aquino told The Adobo Chronicles. “How dare they attribute the EJK’s (Extra-judicial killings) to me. Where is their proof?”
NYT, however, stood firm on its accusation, saying that it does have very reliable sources to back up its report.
Well, sometimes, NYT reports the truth and nothing but the truth.
