NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – The Boston Globe has proposed to scrap the third and final U.S. presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. But that’s not going to happen. Something else will.
ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, CNN, FOX, and MSNBC have all decided not to broadcast the Las Vegas debate on October 19. The networks were in agreement it was pointless to do so.
The network executives said it is clear Hillary will win the election, Donald will spew more lies, and the Trump fanatics will claim their candidate won the debate no matter what.
But the final straw for the networks in deciding to boycott the debate was the threat from hundreds of former Miss Universe and Miss U.S.A. contestants to stage a protest at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, forming a human chain around the campus to prevent the media from covering the event.
Many of these former beauty contestants have claimed that Trump disrespected them when he owned the Miss U.S.A. and Miss Universe Organization, making it standard operating procedure for him to barge into the dressing rooms full of naked women.
So if you’re planning to be in the audience or watch Wednesday’s debate on TV, make some alternate plans like renting a movie from Netflix.
