ROANOKE, Virginia (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureua) – During a campaign speech held at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center on Monday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump repeatedly complained about the hotel’s air conditioning system.
Trump said he felt like he was “in a sauna” and warned he might not pay the bill.
Onstage, Trump, owner of luxury hotels, said, “I don’t know what hotel this is, but you ought to try turning on the air conditioning or we’re not going to get you paid.”
The hotel management said that there was nothing wrong with their air conditioning system, and blamed the number of guests in the room and the doors being open for hours to let in Trump’s supporters.
A Trump supporter who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the real problem was that the presidential candidate was having a hot flash. “It wasn’t the air conditioning,” he said.
