LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles) – Donald Trump, the former owner of the Miss Universe Organization, has proposed that Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines should be proclaimed “co-winners” in last Sunday’s Miss Universe pageant.
The Republican presidential candidate was asked by Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today Show” what his solution would have been following the crowning error in which host Steve Harvey first announced that Miss Colombia had won the pageant, only to reverse himself minutes later, saying that Miss Philippines had actually won.
“I’ll tell you what I think I’d do. I think I’d make them a co-winner (sic). It’d be very cool,” he said.
The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Trump as he was leaving his Trump Towers in Las Vegas today.
We asked him what would happen with a single crown if there were two winners.
“I will donate a second crown. Even if I no longer own the Miss Universe organization, I am happy to resolve this embarrassing situation,” Trump said.
This year’s Miss Universe crown was designed by Diamonds International Corporation (DIC), one of the pageant’s sponsors. It is inspired by DIC’s Czech roots and the pageant’s home base, New York City.
The crown is made up of 33 Bohemian crystals, five blue topaz stones, 198 blue sapphires, and 311 diamonds. It is estimated to cost $300,000.
“The cost for a second crown would be peanuts to me. I’m very rich,” Trump reminded us.
The new owners of Miss Universe, WME/IMG, have not indicated whether they will accept Trump’s suggestion and donation.

MISS UNIVERS- Donating two crowns on behalf of Donald Trump would not have solved the problem. Steve Harvey had already ‘solved’ the problem himself by correcting his own mistake.

i don’t think that’s necessary…. Its a fact that Miss Philippines won…. While your earthly treasures can rebuild material things, you can’t rebuild a person’s shattered dignity!
Miss Philippines is Miss Universe and there is no way anybody could take that back……. the truth is more precious than the crown……

Have we known this is how you were thinking we could have cried foul of Janine Tumgunon’s first runner up finish and make bunches of laughing stock out of our selves! Now its evident, your KIND but S****D!

Donating and crowning a2 miss universe is utterly wrong… It deprives the rightful winner of her victory whilst the 1st runner up will be in a pretend world of miss universe… While it seems to be generosity on the part of trump his decisions are not wise…
