LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles) – The Miss Universe Organization owned by Donald Trump is hiring for a copyeditor to join its fabulous team of producers, choreographers, designers, script writers, stage managers and public relations officers, and it is specifically looking for a Filipino.

This, after media cameras recorded and published videos and photographs of Miss Universe staff showcasing the sashes of  contestants signed up for the international pageant to be held December 20 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Philippines was clearly misspelled as “Phillippines” and that didn’t sit well with Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and the Binibining Pilipinas Charities (BSP), franchise holder of the Miss Universe Pageant in Manila.

BSP threatened to withdraw from the competition unless the Miss Universe Pageant got its act together.

Trump  was apparently upset at the booboo and ordered his staff to immediately hire a Filipino copyeditor.

“I can’t afford not to have Miss Philippines in the pageant,” Trump said. “Philippines is always a top contender for the crown and the pageant would be incomplete without a Miss Philippines.”
