Hollywood, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – The first of a series of Oscar nominations were announced today by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

For the first time ever, a Filipino film was nominated to the prestigious award in the category of short film.

The 57-second flick, “Flooded!” was filmed in San Francisco and Manila. It will compete against other nominations from France, Germany, U.S. and the U.K.

The 87th Oscar Awards will be handed out on February 22, 2015 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
