P.I.: Don’t Throw Baby Away With The Tainted Bathwater.

The opposition to the People’s Initiative for charter change seems to be led by those who have misplaced their copy of the democratic handbook.

A so-called “prayer rally” in Davao City, organized by the self-appointed guardians of constitutional sanctity, missed the memo on the essence of democratic rights.

The People’s Initiative isn’t a sinister plot hatched by political devils; it’s the Filipinos’ birthright to shape the destiny of their nation.

True, there have been whispers of lawmakers sweetening the deal for signature collectors, but let’s not throw the baby out with the tainted bathwater. If there are issues with the process, fix them; don’t snatch away the people’s right to wield their constitutional power.

It’s as if some are more concerned with guarding the gates of democracy than letting the people actually walk through them. Perhaps a “Clueless Rally” would be more fitting, where participants can find their way back to the basics of democratic discourse.

Is Politics Thicker Than Blood?

In the grand circus of Philippine politics, the proverb “politics is thicker than blood” takes center stage with Imee Marcos, the drama queen of familial alliances. Her rivalry with cousin Speaker Martin Romualdez resembles a telenovela plot, while her loyalty dance with VP Sara Duterte and public critiques of her own brother, President Bongbong Marcos, are Shakespearean twists. Filipinos, desperately trying to decipher the script, are left in the dark, stumbling through a labyrinth of political intrigue.

Is Imee pandering to anti-BBM forces for personal gain, or is this all an elaborate performance to bewilder the masses? The ambiguity only adds to the circus-like atmosphere, with politicians trading family bonds for political posturing. In this theatrical spectacle, the audience is left wondering if blood ties are mere props in a political pantomime, or if the characters are genuinely tangled in a web of loyalty and ambition.

Welcome to the Philippines, where family dramas take a backseat to the enthralling spectacle of political theatrics.

Exclusive! Adobo Chronicles 1-1 Interview With Maharlika Boldjakera.

The Adobo Chronicles chanced upon Maharlika Boldjakera while she was on her way out from Grocery Outlet in an obscure district in East Los Angeles.  Here is our interview with her:

AC: Gud A.M. Madam Palangga.  We didn’t expect to see you here.  Kala namin sa Beverly Hills kayo naggo-grocery.

MB: Ssshh.  Please, huwag kayong maingay, nakakahiya sa madlang pipol.  Medyo na-short yung budget ko this week.

AC:  Ha? Akala namin tuluy-tuloy ang ayuda ninyo from Loida Nicolas?

Glenn Chong ngayon.

MB: Hay naku, hindi ko siya type. Ride-on lang ako sa kasikatan niya.  Kasi palubog na ako so vlogging world.

Remember, may warrant of arrest ako doon. Wala akong pang-piyansa.

AC:  Maybe our paths will cross again pagdating mo sa Pinas.  Good day, Madam.

MB:  Teka lang, puwede nyo ba akong pahiramin ng $1,000 pamasahe ko from L.A. to Manila? Mag-EVA Air na lang ako. Mahal sa PAL eh.
