Meta/Facebook To Suspend Accounts Using AI-generated Profile Photos

MENO PARK, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Jose Bureau) – In a bold move to protect its platform from the sinister rise of “algorithmically enhanced identity,” Meta, formerly known as Facebook, announced today that it will start suspending accounts employing AI-generated profile pictures.

The move comes amid the growing popularity of photo lab and other AI-generating apps which have annoyed many netizens worldwide.

In a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, the social media giant, known for its questionable data privacy practices, is suddenly concerned about authenticity.

In a statement, Meta’s spokesperson said, “We must ensure that the catfish population remains under control on our platform.”

Users are left wondering if their data is safe from Meta’s all-seeing eye, or if it’s just their cartoon avatars that need protection.

Account holders have until October 30 to revert back to their true, honest-to-goodness profile photos or face suspension, even cancellation!

Jover Laurio To Sue AI-Generated Headshot Apps!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Pinoy Ako Blog’s Jover Laurio is reportedly considering legal action against the creators and publishers of AI-generated headshot apps.

Laurio claims that she was left utterly devastated after trying numerous apps and discovering that not a single one of them managed to improve her appearance. “It’s an outrage,” Laurio exclaimed. “I wanted to achieve a level of beauty only AI could provide, but these apps have failed me. My real images and the AI-generated ones are indistinguishable, which clearly indicates a glitch on the part of the AI photo generators.”

Legal experts remain skeptical about the viability of her case, given the inherent limitations of AI in performing miracles.
