POC Announces Filipino Early Qualifiers For 2024 Paris Olympics

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Just hours after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics concluded, the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) announced the early qualifiers for the country’s top-notch team for the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.

The athletes, all of whom have the potential to medal in the next Olympics, are:

Weight-lifting: Mar Roxas and Salvador Panelo

Boxing: Sara Duterte-Carpio

Swimming: Harry Roque

Golf: Rodrigo Duterte

The POC said more names will be announced in the coming days.

TOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – Today, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) made a stunning announcement.

Beginning in 2024, the Olympics will include a new sport: knitting!

Initially, Olympic knitting will include three divisions: Bonnet Division, Classic Sweater Division, and the Table Runner Division. Medals will be awarded to athletes who could finish knitting in record time, with bonus points to the best design.

The IOC asked openly-gay British Olympian and gold medalist Tom Daley to model for its upcoming sports promotion. In the promo video, Daley is seen knitting a bonnet while watching the diving event in Tokyo.

How appropriate that the Knitting sport will make its debut at the (gay) Paris Olympics!

TOKYO, Japan (The Adobo Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – The Olympics are all about friendly competition, but they are also about world peace.

This was proven in Tokyo when the United States and China decided to swap their national flags , as shown in the Olympic medal score board.

While as of press time, the U.S. leads China in the medal haul, the Chinese are standing proud that their flag ranks first overall.
