Two Years In A Row: Rappler is second To the last In News Media trust

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Maria Ressa’s Rappler has again bagged the honor of being the second news brand most trusted by consumers — second to the last, that is.

However, in terms of the most untrusted brands, Rappler tops the list at 29%, beating Bulgar’s 22%.

Ressa refused to reply to our request for comment on this consistent standing of her online news outfit among news readers.

GMA News again topped the survey in 2021, followed by The Manila Daily Bulletin.

POLL: President and VP Tandem for 2022 Elections

The Real Reason Vilma Santos Declined 1Sambayan’s Nomination

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now it can be told.

When 1Sambayan announced on June 12 that Vilma Santos-Recto was one of their choices for President or Vice President in the coming 2022 Philippine elections, the Congresswoman and former film star immediately declined the nomination, saying there are other people more qualified to run for the top positions of the land.

But in an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Miss Santos disclosed her real reason for declining the nomination.

She has signed a contract to play the lead role in the remake of “Thy Womb,” originally played by her arch rival Nora Aunor. The Aunor film won many local and international awards.

We obtained a leaked copy of movie sequel’s promotional poster and we are publishing it here even without permission from the film’s producers.

Could Aunor then be nominated under the Duterte administration’s list of potential Presidents or VPs?
