Dateline Zürich: Your Thunder Has No Sound

by Maria Bratikova

When you go a-seething
Cos Adobo Chronicle’s a-printing
Know your brain‘s a-wasting,
Or, just not existing.

Your body’s a-squirming
You know yah been a-bitching.
No reason, just you accusing
Others of what you’re doing.

Do not use your mediocrity
Nor your native inferiority
To undermine our superiority
You‘ll never top our ability.

This i now tell you, Bro . . .
Quit the nonsense, be true.
Not late a brain to grow
Or find one to borrow.

Will see you tomorrow
Then you will again know
We’re the better honcho
It‘s true you‘re just so-so.

Adobo Chronicles Moves Up Two Notches, Now No. 24 Among The World’s Top 100 Satire Sites!

Now we are quite convinced that there is no other way than UP! Despite our haters and detractors, including propagandist bloggers who say we are “without substance,” The Adobo Chronicles has moved up again this week — not by one notch, but two notches — among the world’s top 100 satire sites.

Just last week were at No. 26. This week, we are at No. 24.

We congratulate our AC team, Pol Pinoy, JAKE DON, Melchor Vergara, Brian Neyra, Mara Bratikova, and our in-house AI, ACAI.

But we wouldn’t get to where we are now — 10 years since our very first post — without our 28+Million viewers worldwide. We must also give credit to our critics because the more they talk (badly) about us, the more engaging we become.

Oh dear, we can’t believe we’re getting closer and closer to the world’s No. 1 satire site, The Onion, which was our inspiration (and still is) to publish The Adobo Chronicles.

Oooh La La: Leni Has Broken Her Silence!

Former Vice President Leni Robredo has finally broken her silence on her future political plans.

Well, sort of. In classic Leni fashion, she managed to maintain her reputation for being as vague and non-specific as ever, leaving the public in a state of perpetual confusion.

It was like watching a master illusionist at work. With a sly smile and a twinkle in her eye, Robredo danced around any concrete statements about her political aspirations. It was as if she had attended a seminar on the art of political evasion, and she was now the star pupil.

Robredo’s cryptic comments left many scratching their heads and wondering if she was playing an elaborate game of political hide-and-seek. Will she run for president, vice president, the Senate or even Barangay captain? It’s anyone’s guess, and it seems that Robredo herself hasn’t quite made up her mind either.

In the world of politics, where clarity and transparency are often in short supply, Leni Robredo’s ability to remain enigmatic and ever-ready to change course is truly a sight to behold. Who needs a crystal ball when you have Robredo’s ever-shifting political ambitions to keep you guessing?
