A few days ago, we featured a fake post by ex-broadcast Journalist Jay Sonza in which he used a pre-Covid lockdown NLEX photo to portray and comment on the traffic-ridden Holy Week exodus out of Metro Manila and to the northern provinces. Well, what do you know. Another die-hard Duterte fan/vlogger and journalist at that — Krizette Lauretta Chu — took to her socmed account to comment about the South China Sea, apparently, the Ayungin Shoal.

Chu used an edited photo featuring stealth bombers that supposedly landed in a Philippine base for a “mystery move.”

A smart netizen called Chu out and posted what appeared to be an exact replica of the photo that the vlogger used, minus the edits.

Imagine if Chu used the fake photo for an article she wrote for Manila Bulletin!

Moral of the story: in today’s world, anything you post on social media can always be subject to a reverse search, photos included.

An Ode To Vlogger Maharlika

In the realm of vlogs, a character arose, Maharlika, with ambition that glows.

At Marcos’ side, she hoped to bask, In the warmth of power, a lavish task.

But fate had other plans in store, Ambition crushed, she sought for more.

With bitterness, her heart turned purple, Launching attacks, her words a gurgle.

She spins tales like a master weaver, Concocting stories, a deceiving fever.

A fly on the palace wall, she claims to be, Yet truth is obscured, for all to see.

Cristy Fermin, watch out in shame, For Maharlika’s craft is not a game.

Respected journalists, beware her sway, For fakery thrives in her display.

Oh Maharlika, the vlogger queen, In a world of deceit, you reign supreme. But truth will triumph, in the end, And your facade, it will surely bend.
