VP Leni Robredo On PNoy’s Passing: End Of Yellow Era

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Vice President and head of the Liberal Party Leni Robredo was quick to throw in the towel in the wake of the passing of former President NoyNoy Aquino.

In a statement to the media today, Robredo admitted that this is the “end of an era,” perhaps referring to the Yellow era that began when Cory Aquino became President.

It was not clear from Robredo’s statement whether she was planning to forget about running for President in the 2022 elections, since she would be the obvious choice of the Yellow parties that include her own Liberal Party and the Opposition coalition, 1Sambayan.

Well, there’s always the governorship of Camarines Sur or Barangay Captain in Naga City where she could run under a new Lugaw Party.

This is a developing story.

The Real Reason Vilma Santos Declined 1Sambayan’s Nomination

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now it can be told.

When 1Sambayan announced on June 12 that Vilma Santos-Recto was one of their choices for President or Vice President in the coming 2022 Philippine elections, the Congresswoman and former film star immediately declined the nomination, saying there are other people more qualified to run for the top positions of the land.

But in an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Miss Santos disclosed her real reason for declining the nomination.

She has signed a contract to play the lead role in the remake of “Thy Womb,” originally played by her arch rival Nora Aunor. The Aunor film won many local and international awards.

We obtained a leaked copy of movie sequel’s promotional poster and we are publishing it here even without permission from the film’s producers.

Could Aunor then be nominated under the Duterte administration’s list of potential Presidents or VPs?

Robredo, Trillanes Reveal Their Preferred Names On The 2022 Ballot

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Remember the elections of 2016 where both Liberal Party Presidential candidate Mar Roxas and VP candidate Leni Robredo added “Daang Matuwid” to their names on the ballot?

Well, as they say, history repeats itself.

Today, presumptive Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates Robredo and Antonio Trillanes announced their preferred names when it comes to the official 2022 ballot.

Robredo wants her name listed as Leni “Lugaw” Robredo, while Trillanes wants his to be listed as Antonio “Kanin” Trillanes.

The two opposition stalwarts told The Adobo Chronicles that name recall counts a lot in most elections, so they would like to be listed based on the popular memes hurled at them for the last several years.

Makes. Real. Sense.
