Sass Rogando Sasot And The Kabataan Partylist

Ah, Sass Rogando Sasot, the master of hyperbole and the high priestess of delusion, has once again graced us with her unique brand of political insight.

In her latest proclamation, she has declared the Kabataan Partylist as the most respectable entity in Congress, a statement so absurd that it could make even the most seasoned comedians green with envy.

Sasot seems to have taken it upon herself to demand that Congress members reveal every minute detail of their MOOE (Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses) with liquidation and receipts.

One can’t help but wonder if she’s under the illusion that these representatives are running lemonade stands. Her call for transparency is reminiscent of a child playing inspector in a fantasy world, completely detached from the practical realities of governance.

It’s clear that Sasot is in desperate need of a reality check, and she seems to believe that the Kabataan Partylist will serve as her rubber stamp for these outlandish demands. It’s a truly bewildering spectacle to behold, as she peddles her delusions with a straight face. One can only marvel at the limitless depths of her imagination.

VP Sara Duterte Challenges Kabataan Partylist Representative Raoul Manuel To A Race To Mt. Apo Summit!

DAVAO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Davao City Bureau) – In the Philippines, when one hears the word “mamundok” (go up the mountain), it is usually in the context of a citizen joining insurgents or terrorists who take up camp on the mountains.

Vice President Sara Duterte was probably being literal when she challenged Kabataan Partylist representative Raoul Manuel to race to the top of the country’s highest peak, Mount Apo.

Manuel is part of the Congress’ Makabayan bloc which many perceive to be sympathetic to insurgents and government enemies. The bloc has been very vocal about its opposition to Duterte’s confidential intelligence funds.

“Forget the debates and rhetoric,” Duterte told Manuel. “Let’s settle this once and for all, and see who makes it to Mt. Apo summit first (if at all).”

This will definitely be an interesting race between the 29-year-old Manuel and the 45-year-old Duterte.

Bring out the popcorn and cheer for your team!

Hello, Confi!

Ah, the magical world of Philippine politics, where math takes a vacation and irony reigns supreme!

Rodrigo Duterte, the master of contradictions, had a curious knack for managing “confidential funds.” Imagine, 4.5 billion pesos annually, a sum that could make even the wealthiest oligarchs blush.

Yet, for a president who often railed against the House of Representatives as the epitome of corruption, his secret stash rivals the GDP of a small country.

But wait, there’s more absurdity to savor! As the nation awaited the roar of critics, President Bongbong Marcos seems to have cast a spell of silence. His loudest critics, some vocal pro-Duterte defenders, have taken an extended vow of muteness about the former president’s blank checkbook.

Could it be that in this theater of the absurd, selective outrage has become a new art form? Or perhaps, as some whisper, those who live in glass houses of controversy should not throw stones?

After all, politics in the Philippines is a never-ending circus, where contradictions, selective amnesia, and silence rule the day. Welcome to the land of perpetual political bewilderment.
