PRESIDENT AQUINO TO FIRE OVERWEIGHT CABINET MEMBERS

imageManila, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Philippine President NoyNoy Aquino is serious about fulfilling his campaign promise to rid the government of corruption and maximize the efficiency of the bureaucracy. Aquino has consistently proclaimed that his administration will always pursue what he calls Daang Matuwid (straight path).

In recent months, Aquino’s critics have called for the resignation or firing of several of his cabinet members for alleged corruption or total inefficiency on the job, among them, Vice President Jejomar Binay, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, Agrarian Reform Secretary Virgilio de los Reyes, Philippine National Police Director General Alan Purisima and Budget Secretary Florencio Abad.

Today, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Aquino is weighing his cabinet members.

Any cabinet member who is found to be overweight — weighing more than 200 pounds or having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 25 — will be fired or asked to submit his or her resignation.

Finally, Aquino is showing some great leadership.

HILLARY CLINTON WANTS MANNY PACQUIAO’S ENDORSEMENT; HE SAYS ‘NO WAY!’

Manila, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – “Bob, I don’t know if I’m gonna run for president but if I do, you gotta get Manny Pacquiao to come over and help me.” These were the words from Hillary Clinton at a dinner table in Hong Kong, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.

Bob is Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, the Las Vegas-based boxing promoter responsible for Pacquiao’s and other top-rated championship fights.  He sat next to Clinton at that private dinner.

Pacquiao is known for his keen interest in politics. He himself is an elected congressman in the Philippines.

In the last U.S. elections (2010), Pacquiao endorsed Senate Majority Floor Leader Harry Reid.  This year, the Filipino boxer has endorsed Ross Miller who is running for Nevada’s Attorney General.

But endorsing Clinton?  “No way,” Pacquiao says.  “We’re exact opposites when it comes to important issues.  Hillary is pro-choice, I’m pro-life; she is for marriage equality, I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman; she’s a stickler for world issues, all I’m interested in are boxing, basketball and karaoke.”

But Pacquiao is not totally closing the door on Clinton.  He says that for a fee, he can endorse the former First Lady’s candidacy.  Asked by reporters what kind of a fee he thinks would be appropriate, Pacquiao said: “enough to cover the taxes I owe the Philippines’ Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).” That would be at least $75 Million.

Pacquiao faces charges of tax evasion.  BIR says the boxer has failed to pay taxes on his prize earnings from his championship fights in the U.S.

Pacquiao’s next fight is against  junior welterweight title holder Chris Algieri which will be held November 22 at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macau, in Macau, China.

WIKILEAKS: GEORGE W. BUSH WANTED TO TRANSFER THE SEAT OF U.S. GOVERNMENT TO IRAQ

gty_white_house_replica_wy_141028_16x9_992Ebril, Iraq (The Adobo Chronicles) – The latest secret document to be published by WikiLeaks, the international online organization that has been uncovering classified information, reveals that President George W. Bush wanted to transfer the seat of the U.S. Government to Ebril in Northern Iraq.

It was purportedly part of the overall plan that began with the U.S. invasion of Iraq disguised as a search for Saddam Hussein’s Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).

The document shows that Bush was so confident that he could find WMD to justify his desire to colonize Iraq that he ordered the construction of a White House replica in Ebril.  His plan was to occupy the “other” White House in Ebril for the rest of his presidency. Bush is known to fancy desert weather.

Following the latest leak, ABC News went in search of the  White House replica in Ebril (see photo), and found that it was never fully completed.  It is still undergoing the final touches but it is now owned by a prominent Kurdish businessman.

So the next time you see a photograph of the White House, it may not be the one on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
