MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It would have been a very impactful commemoration on Monday, August 21 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
To mark the anniversary of the “martyrdom” of the late senator, the Dilawan National Coalition (DNC) had planned on a reenactment of the assassination at the airport tarmac.
Everything was set since a week ago, but the reenactment had to be cancelled at the last minute.
DNC could not find a volunteer to play the role Ninoy.
Perhaps they did not make it clear that rubber bullets will be used?
