‘Fugivite’ Ex-Comelec Chair Andy Bautista Finally Returning To The Philippines!

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau). After all most five years in hiding, former Commission on Elections chairman Andy Bautista is finally returning to the Philippines.

Bautista, who was being investigated by the Senate for alleged unexplained wealth resulting from revelations by his own wife, flew to the U.S. on November 21, 2017. He refused to return to the Philippines despite a subpoena to attend a Senate probe, citing “medical challenges”, and added that he never received the summons sent by lawmakers.

His return to the Philippines was announced by Bautista himself on his Twitter account, and will reportedly attend the final UAAP game between U.P. and Ateneo at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

It may be difficult to spot Bautista since everyone is being asked to wear black during the game.
