MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – President Bongbong Marcos has announced that Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes will replace Teddy Boy Locsin as the country’s special envoy to China!
The announcement came just hours after the Philippine team defeated China – 96 to 75 – in the FIBA World Cup match held at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Filipinos have been winless in the days preceding the PH-China game.
“I am confident that Reyes will use his strategic skills to defeat China in all our disputes, including our territorial conflicts in the South China Sea,” Marcos said.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was supposed to be a goodwill visit to the Philippine Navy’s flagship vessels to meet the Filipino patriots and world-class officers.
Everything was going as planned, with self-proclaimed political analyst Richard Heydarian wining and dining with Navy personnel. But then, at one point, a China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel cruised by the Philippine Navy ship somewhere near Ayungin Shoal in the South China Sea.
From out of the blue Heydarian stood on deck and saluted the CCG! A true Chinese patriot!
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – In a recent Congressional Committee hearing, Kabataan Partylist Raoul Manuel asked a very important question: “Nabawi na ba natin ang Sabá?” He was obviously referring to whether or not the Philippines has reclaimed the state of Sabah from Malaysia.
Feeling alluded to, incarcerated former Senator Leila de Lima — who popularized the tropical fruit during Senate hearings on her alleged involvement in the drug trade — quickly responded:
“The answer is a resounding ‘NO,’ she told The Adobo Chronicles. “Filipinos have not reclaimed me. The one and only sabá is still illegally detained in prison without any conviction of crime.”
Manuel has not responded to de Lima as of press time.
