Today, Jollibee unveiled its new item on the menu — a one-pounder burger with cheese. This trumps McDonald’s double-quarter burger with cheese — for the same price!

Jollibee’s new menu item will debut on September 1, 2023, the start of Christmas season in the Philippines. Singer Jose Mari Chan — the Christmas King — will be making the rounds of Jollibee outlets in Metro Manila to promote the one-pounder.

Department Of Agriculture: There Is An Oversupply Of Silly!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Many netizens and those in the news media keep going around the circle, complaining and reporting on prices and supply shortage of agricultural products — from rice to garlic to onions. But the Department of Agriculture, headed by the president himself, is assuring the public that there is no shortage of sili. “But we do realize that there is an oversupply of silly (people) out to complain about anything and everything, a D.A. spokesperson told The Adobo Chronicles.

Yesterday, McDonald’s offered a discounted P25 quarter pounder with cheese to all customers whose first, middle or last names had the letters, “ER.”

But will competitor Jollibee be left behind? Definitely not!

For today only (August 26), Jollibee outlets in the Philippines and overseas will offer FREE yumburgers to all customers who could show through a valid, government-issued I.D. that their names have the letters “JO,” as in JOse, JOsephine, JOver, ArJO.

Expecting that their supplies will run out early, Jollibee store managers advised qualified customers to line up early before opening or to proceed to their nearest 24-hour-outlets now!
