MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – “We’re happy that people have enjoyed eating our Shanghai as much as we’ve enjoyed serving it to our loyal Jollibee customers, and we’d like to extend our sincerest appreciation for all the support. ChowKing Vs. Mang Inasal: Let The New Fast-Food War Begin!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The fast-food world has been rocked by a major upset as the epic battle between McDonald’s and Jollibee has come to an abrupt end. It seems that the real rivalry in town is now between two unlikely contenders: Mang Inasal and ChowKing.

Gone are the days of McDo versus Jollibee, with their heated debates over who makes the best fried chicken or burgers. Now, the spotlight has shifted to the clash of the titans: Mang Inasal and ChowKing, two fast-food joints known for their unique takes on Filipino cuisine.

In a bid to outdo each other, ChowKing has launched a revolutionary offer – free delivery for all online orders. That’s right, folks! No need to leave the comfort of your home or office; they’ll bring the flavors of ChowKing to your doorstep without you shelling out a single peso more (or dollar if you live in the U.S.). It’s almost like they’re paying you to eat their food!

But Mang Inasal wasn’t about to be outdone. They responded with an offer so groundbreaking, it might just redefine the laws of fast-food economics. Mang Inasal has gone one step further – they’re offering free online orders (as in your food order doesn’t cost you anything) and you only have to pay for delivery! It’s a deal so incredible that even the most frugal of foodies will have to sit down and take notice.

Lost In Translation: Coco Martin Wears Wrong Outfit In Photo Shoot For Mang Inasal Chicken!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was a gorgeous day to do a photo shoot for a commercial promoting Mang Inasal Chicken.

Everything was going smoothly at the photo shoot location until the celebrity endorser arrived. Actor Coco Martin came dressed in a classy KFC black jacket!

Apparently, Martin heard wrong when a production assistant called him to schedule the shoot. He thought he was being booked for a KFC commercial.

The ad agency could not postpone or cancel since Martin was already paid his talent fee — in full. So the production team went ahead with the photo shoot.

The team members decided that they will just add a tagline in their final ad copy — a Tagalog translation of “finger-licking good!”

All’s well that ends well!
