Davila: Ma’am, any comment on the situation at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport as a result of a plane overshooting the runway?
Poe: (repeating what she tweeted earlier) One derailed plane and we have this big mess in our airport. Anong petsa na, hindi pa natatanggal ang eroplano sa runway. Meanwhile, our passengers are in this sorry state. So much for promoting tourism. Calling on MIAA, pls do something ASAP!
Davila: Ma’am, yung derailed plane, under or above ground po ba?
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Senator Risa Hontiveros is on a roll. She’s very busy proposing legislation declaring all sorts of “National” Days.
To commemorate the death of 17-year-old Kian Loyd Delos Santos a year ago, Hontiveros wants every 16th of August to be declared as a “National Day of Remembrance.” Delos Santos was killed in anti-illegal drugs operation by Caloocan police.
Now, Hontiveros wants October 1 each year to be declared ‘National Day of Plastic Surgery.’
The Senator told The Adobo Chronicles that her new bill is in honor of Xander Ford, who on October 1 last year made his television appearance with a new look on the program ‘Rated K.’ The former Marlou Arizala who was a member of a boy band was reportedly bullied because of his appearance.
”I cannot emphasize enough the importance of plastic surgery in boosting the confidence of people who were born with not so impressive looks,” she said.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes has challenged the Dutertes to undergo drug testing after he obtained results of his own. Trillanes tested negative for illegal drugs.
But the Senator just tested positive for shrapnel during a brain scan performed at St. Luke’s Hospital as part of his annual medical checkup.
Digital images of his brain showed metal pieces the size of a tiny screw.
Doctors were puzzled about the discovery of the shrapnel because as far as they know, Trillanes, a military man, never engaged in actual combat. They confirmed, however that the foreign objects in the Senator’s brain could severely impair his mental functions. That is, if they haven’t already.
This looks like a case of the proverbial Filipino saying, ‘may turnilyo sa ulo’ (screw in the brain).
