Kris Aquino’s Posts About Her Health All Part Of New Hollywood Film

SINGAPORE (The Adobo Chronicles, Singapore Bureau) – Most normal people would usually keep their health status private and confidential. But not Kris Aquino.

The former Presidential sister continues to bear it all through her social media accounts.  Despite vowing to sign off from her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, as supposedly advised by her doctors, Aquino has been posting photos of her weight loss, facial allergies, as well moments of hospital test procedures. She also had no qualms enumerating her various diagnoses, from Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria to Lupus to Fibrobmyalgia.

While she has earned the sympathy of her fans, she has also elicited skeptical comments by others.

Now it turns out that all her posts are but a part of a new major Hollywood film in which she plays the role not of a Princess but of a Queen — Queen of All Media, that is.  It’s called “Crazy Rich Asians 2.”

Like the first “Crazy Rich Asians” blockbuster film, this new Hollywood project is also being mostly filmed in Singapore.

Now that explains why Aquino keeps on flying to Singapore for her medical tests.

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – In September last year, SM Baguio served thousands of mall shoppers with free cake, courtesy of the local Hotel and Restaurant Association. The serving of the giant cake coincided with a mass wedding organized by the city government.

Recently, it was reported that tons of newly-harvested vegetables from Benguet province were being dumped because of supply that far exceeded market demand.

Rather than having the assorted vegetables go to waste, SM Baguio decided to cook a giant tray of chopsuey and serve it free to shoppers this weekend. Shoppers are advised to bring their own rice.

SM Baguio seems to be aiming for yet another Guinness world record, this time the largest serving of chopsuey.

Rivals Rappler And Adobo Chronicles Launch Subscriber Programs

3B2FFAA7-B486-4B72-984F-89787C9DF8A7.jpegMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In its desperate attempt to stop the bleeding from its declining viewership, Maria Ressa’s Rappler is launching what it is calling a “Plus” membership program that would supposedly give its readers access to exclusive, biased news content. What this subscription would cost is still subject to determination.

Not to be outdone, rival The Adobo Chronicles  is launching its own subscription program whereby viewers who sign up will receive news alerts — for free!  The news site is calling it the “Minus” membership program, hoping that it will lure Rappler Plus members to shift to to the AdoboChron free subscription.

Asked about the name “Minus” membership, the AdoboChron publisher said the concept is that every subscriber leaving Rappler (hence, the ‘minus’ sign) will result in an additional (“plus” sign) subscriber for AdobChron.

So it seems that Rappler’s program should be called “minus” and AdoboChron’s program, “plus.”
