The Adobo Chronicles is launching a photo challenge to all Filipinos here and abroad.
All we’re asking is for our readers and followers to post on their social media accounts great photos of MORNINGS without any comment — just the place the photo was taken (crediting the photographer where applicable) and the hashtag #UmagangKayGanda. (You can also post photos in the comment section below.)
This is a unique way to honor and celebrate the victory of the UniTeam in the recently-concluded Philippine elections. Let’s overwhelm social media with positive images to counter all the negativity and toxicity coming out of the elections.
“Umagang Kay Ganda” was one of the UniTeam’s campaign theme songs.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – In anticipation of a Bongbong Marcos presidency, the Ateneo de Manila University released a list of top Martial Law books it described as a ”reading list” presumably to sow resistance to the administration of the son of the late, great Ferdinand E. Marcos.
But alas, the list seems to have snubbed one of the most ballyhooed book written by self-proclaimed investigative journalist Raissa Robles: Marcos Martial Law: Never Again.”
Netizens immediately started speculating that the anti-Marcos Robles’s book was not scholarly enough per the standards of one of the top universities in the country.
The Adobo Chronicles tried to reach Robles for comment but it appears her mobile phone was out of data or suspended for non-payment of her monthly bill.
We’ll keep on trying.
