In the court of public opinion, rhetoric reigns supreme,
But proof, alas, is the elusive dream.
Just as courts shun hearsay, so should we,
Yet in the realm of accusations, we often fail to see.
Accusations fly, like birds in the sky,
But without evidence, they’re merely a cry.
Bongbong Marcos, accused of this and of that,
But without real proof, it’s all just chitchat.
In the age of social media, where rumors abound,
Fake news spreads like wildfire, all around.
Name-calling, speculation, and fantasy too,
But without evidence, what can we do?
Even photocopied documents, with holes punched through,
Can’t always reveal what’s false or true.
Nikki Coseting, Rodrigo Duterte, their words may deceive,
But without concrete proof, we should not believe.
So let’s demand evidence, not just words in the air,
For real justice, real truth, is what we should share.
In the court of public opinion, let’s raise the bar high,
For without real evidence, it’s all just a lie.
