Clark Disneyland A Welcome Respite From The Botanical Garden And Zoo Named Congress

As the grand plans for Disneyland in Clark City, Philippines, unfold, citizens rejoice at the prospect of finally escaping the political jungle of Congress.

No longer will they need to navigate through the treacherous paths of bureaucracy, dodging crocodiles, snakes, wolves in sheep’s clothing, and pigs disguised as politicians. Instead, they can frolic in the magical world of Disney, where Mickey Mouse reigns supreme, replacing bitter melons and star fruits as the beloved icons of the land.

Tourists flock to this promised oasis of joy, eager to trade political dramas for fairy tale fantasies. Gone are the days of lobbying for change; now, the only lobbying will be for the best spot in line for Space Mountain.

Yet, one can’t help but wonder if this escapism is just a Band-Aid solution for deeper societal issues. Will Disneyland become the new opiate of the masses, distracting them from the real-world problems lurking just beyond the park gates? #LoveThePhilippines, indeed.
