No, Miss Imee, Bullets Are Not A Measure Of Bravery.

Senator Imee Marcos’ assertion that bravery is meaningless without bullets is a curious mix of warmongering and ignorance.

While she seems fixated on the idea of armed conflict, she conveniently overlooks the ongoing tensions in the South China Sea, where Chinese vessels have been using water cannons against Philippine fishermen without a single bullet being fired. Perhaps Senator Marcos has been too preoccupied with her own rhetoric to notice the blatant aggression happening in our waters.

Instead of advocating for more bullets, perhaps Senator Marcos should focus on practical solutions. After all, water cannons have been effective tools of coercion without the need for lethal force. Maybe she can divert her attention from imaginary battles and allocate resources to equip Philippine vessels with powerful water cannons to defend against such non-lethal but still concerning acts of aggression.

It’s time to prioritize pragmatism over misplaced bravado.
