In the ever-entertaining soap opera of Philippine politics, the karma wheel seems to have taken an unexpected spin, landing squarely on the once-fiery Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon. 

Known for her vocal anti-Marcos stance, she’s now facing consequences that make even the most melodramatic telenovela plot twists pale in comparison.

Guanzon, who once reveled in the limelight of power, now finds herself entangled in the web of karma, facing imminent graft charges. Perhaps she believed her political immunity was as robust as her opinions. Even after retirement, she continued her one-woman anti-Marcos crusade through social media and opposition campaigns, only to find that karma has a penchant for catching up, especially in the political arena.
