SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (The Adobo Chronicles, El Salvador Bureau) – In the alphabetical tradition of the introduction of Miss Universe contestants, Miss Philippines has always come after Miss Peru. But in the 2023 pageant, Miss Philippines will be introduced before Miss Finland.

The reason?

The Philippines’ Michelle Marquez Dee has decided to introduce herself as the representative from Filipinas!

At least, she will gain points with the audiences (or judges) from Spanish and South American countries.

Not a bad strategy!
