Envious Of The Senate, HOR Wants To Relocate to BGC

The House of Representatives has unleashed House Resolution 1390, a masterstroke calling for the formation of an ad hoc committee to ponder the radical notion of moving to Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Forget the pressing issues of the nation; what the country really needs is a new address for our lawmakers.

The current Batasang Pambansa building in Quezon City, a relic of the past, apparently lacks the sparkle and pizzazz that the halls of power truly deserve.

Evidently, the House is suffering from Senate envy, green with envy at the impending move of their upper-house counterparts to a state-of-the-art building in BGC. Because nothing says “good governance” like relocating to the trendiest part of the city.

While the nation grapples with genuine concerns, it’s reassuring to know that our representatives have their priorities straight – new digs. After all, the best way to address the country’s challenges is with a change of scenery for our esteemed lawmakers.
