NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – The annual Met Gala, held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, is known as “fashion’s biggest night out” with celebrities in attendance wearing their most elegant or outrageous gowns and attires.
But the Met Gala as we know it is coming to an end.
From New York to the Philippines!
Incoming First Lady Emeritus Imelda Romualdez Marcos (mother of Philippine President-elect Bongbong Marcos) has announced plans to to buy the rights to the Met Gala.
Under the plan, the world-famous gala will be moved from the city that never sleeps to the city with flying jeepneys.
Leave it to Filipino ingenuity to create Guinness-worthy world records, not to mention the high fashion sense of Filipino designers, to transform the Met Gala into a universal spectacle never before seen.
The venue of the proposed Philippine Gala will be at the revived/renovated Manila Metropolitan Theater, more popularly known as The Met.
