In a post on her social media account, self-proclaimed investigative journalist Raissa Robles claimed that she was a Tausug, referring to members of one of the largest  Muslim ethnic groups of the southwestern Philippines as her ”fellow.”

Adobo Chronicles labels her post as FALSE.

Robles is not a member of the Tausug community. She merely committed a grave grammatical error (being a journalist at that) by saying ”fellow Tausugs.”

She was actually directly addressing Representative Shernee Tan-Tambut of the Kusug Tausug Partylist who took offense at her earlier comment that promoting tourism in Mindanao would open up incidents of kidnapping in the region.

She should have said ”your fellow Tausugs.” She also had commas too many in her post.
