Bongbong Marcos Vows To Keep August 21 A National Holiday!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In keeping with his campaign promise of unity, President-elect Bongbong Marcos said today that he intends to keep August 21 each a year as a national non-working holiday.

Republic Act No. 2956, signed into law in 2004, declares August 21 of every year as “Ninoy Aquino Day” commemorating the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr.

Marcos, however said that he will rename the holiday to ”Louise Araneta-Marcos Day,” to celebrate his wife’s birthday.

All’s well that ends well!
