MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – A Grab driver was cited for ECQ curfew violation early this morning for delivering sinigang in Purok Sinampalukan, Barangay Kinabukasan.

An unidentified kagawad told the driver: “Essential ba si sinigang? Hindi. Ang tao, mabubuhay kahit walang sinigang.” (Is sinigang essential? No, people can survive without sinigang.)

The incident happened just days after an international cuisine website declared that sinigang is the best vegetable soup in the world.

Move over, lugaw!
