MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) is not taking any chances. Christmas caroling is banned this year in order to curb the further spread of the coronavirus in the Philippines.
But don’t despair. In an unnumbered Resolution to be issued soon, IATF is allowing Christmas caroling online, via Skype or Zoom.
Groups planning to go caroling this holiday season are encouraged to plan accordingly so as not to disrupt their annual fundraising.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque told The Adobo Chronicles that donations or contributions to online carolers can be made through Visa, MasterCard, ATM cards or other payment schemes like GCash, PayPal, and PayMaya.
Pasko na naman, o kay tulin ng araw…
