MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – As part of its no-nonsense campaign to rid Metro Manila’s roads and highways from traffic obstruction, agents of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday arrested dozens of Filipino commuters for blocking a major thoroughfare (see photo).

Those arrested were released later after they argued with police that they weren’t blocking the road. They were blocking the sun.
