MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Remember in 2017, when broadcast journalist Karen Davila reportedly referred to Prince William and Princess Kate as the “Dutch and Duchess of Cambridge?”

Since Rappler and Vera Files were not yet designated at that time as Facebook’s partners in fact-checking, there was no way of verifying if Davila really said what she supposedly said.

But as they say, history repeats itself.

Davila, tweeted today that she loves watching royal weddings and expressed her admiration for Prince William and Meghan Markle whom she referred to as the Dutch and Duchess of Sussex.

Luckily we now have the Internet police in place, so Rappler and Vera Files can fact-check this report.
