(NOT SATIRE)Claim: Former Solicitor General FT Hilbay and broadcast journalist Karen Davila both tweeted that the decision of the Supreme Court ousting Maria Lourdes Sereno could still be reversed in the Motion for Reconsideration (MR) if at least one justice reverses his or her vote.  They both claimed a 7-7 vote in the MR could reinstate Sereno.

Fact: At issue in a Motion for Reconsideration is the 8-6 decision of the Supreme Court. So, a 7-7 vote in the MR does NOT reverse the original ruling of the Court.  Rather, a 7-7 vote lets it stand.
