MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – If you’ve received any message from Facebook that you post was taken down because it was considred spam or that it violated the social media giant’s ‘community standards,’ you can now relax.

Apparently, Facebook was hacked and the messages you’ve been getting did not originate from the social media platform.

In the Philippines, the messages were generated by some paid hackers to help insure that posts favorable to President Rodrigo Duterte or critical of the Yellow and Opposition groups were blocked from being seen on the Internet.
