MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In her speech at the London School of Economics, Philippines’ Vice President Leni Robredo named the poorest Philippine provinces, including Pangasinan and Ilocos Norte.

But Vera Files, one of two Facebook partners in the Philippines deputized to fact-check news and information on social and mainstream media, has challenged Robredo’s claim.

In fact Vera Files tagged Robredo’s statment as ‘False.’

In layman’s terms, Vera Files is saying that Leni Robredo is a purveyor of false (fake) news.
