MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – With her camera crew in tow, Philippines Vice President Leni Robredo attended church this morning at St. Paul the Apostle parish church in Quezon City.

The Adobo Chronicles caught up with Robredo on her way out and we asked her what what she intently prayed for.

Robredo is facing an uphill battle in the electoral protest (recount) filed by BongBong Marcos.  So far, Robredo’s lead in the 2016 Vice Presidential elections had narrowed down by 5,000 votes.

Robredo said she asked for grace and enlightment from Barsabbas, considered by Christians as one of the patron saints of elections.  The other saint is Matthias.

Barsabbas and Matthias were the two who were fighting for the No. 12 spot in Jesus Christ’s apostles — to replace Judas Escariot.  Matthias was ‘voted’ to take that spot.

Tsk, tsk. Robredo apparently prayed to the wrong patron saint — Barsabbas, the one who was not chosen.
