MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Filipino people can now rest assured that there will not be a political dynasty involving the Duterte family.

No less than President Rodrigo Duterte revealed on December 6, 2017, that his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has submitted her resignation.

In a speech during the oath-taking ceremony of the Presidental appointees at Malacañang Palace, Duterte showed Inday Sara’s resignation letter.

The younger Duterte wanted to step down as Mayor of Davao.

The letter was dated July 1, 2016, one day after the President and the Mayor took their respective oaths of office.

But the people of Davao can also rest assured that Inday is still their Mayor.
