MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – CNN Philippines is reporting that according to House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Mocha Uson and Harry Roque are running for senator in 2019.  Both have reportedly been included in the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) 2019 senatorial lineup.

Upon hearing the news, the Liberal Party, headed by Vice President Leni Robredo, announced that it has  signed up Jim Paredes and Cynthia Patag to be part of its 2019 senatorial lineup.

The Adobo Chronicles has confirmed that Paredes, an Australian citizen, will renounce his foreign citizenship this week in order to qualify to run for Philippine senator.
