
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (The Adobo Chronicles, Sao Paolo Bureau) – The world knows by now that the Philippines has a connection to Singapore’s first Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling. The swimmer who beat Michael Phelps in Rio was raised by his Filipino nanny, Auntie Yolly.
Now, it has been revealed that another Olympic medalist, Joseph Nory Mariano, is part Filipno! Nory, a member of the Brazilian gymnastics team, won bronze in the floor exercises.
