HOLLYWOOD. California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) –It’s that time of year when Hollywood rolls out horror movies to greet the Halloween season and one particular film has become politically-charged because of its title, plot and actress.
“Nightmare On Trump Towers” opens in theaters nationwide on October 31. It stars Chloë Grace Moretz who reprises her previous role of Carrie in a horror flick of the same title. The new movie happens at the Penthouse of the Trump Towers.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has cried “foul” over the movie and the timing of its release — just days before the November elections.
Trump accused the Hillary Clinton-Tim Kaine campaign of secretly funding the movie.
“They’re obviously trying to destroy my good name and mislead the American voters — unbelievable,” Trump said.
Moretz is a known supporter of Clinton and is scheduled to speak at the DNC national convention in Philadelphia thus week.
