HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – While Pope Francis was being warmly received (and almost worshipped) in his visit to Sri Lanka and the Philippines this week, another Pope was being trashed in Hollywood.

We’re talking about cinematographer Dick Pope who was just nominated for an Oscar for the film, “Mr. Turner.”

When his nomination was announced by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, she called him ‘Dick Poop.’

Pope took it all in stride saying that he  had been called a lot worse, like “Dick Pee.”

Isaacs quickly apologized and denied rumors that she intentionally called the cinematographer ‘Poop’ as a way of protest for the non-inclusion of a single woman or Person of color in this year’s Oscar nominations.

We anxiously await Mr. Pope’s acceptance speech of he wins the award. Will he get back at Isaac and call her ‘Adele Dazeem?’
