Washington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – The campaign for this year’s mid-term elections is bringing out the most brilliant of ideas for both the Republicans and Democrats in raising funds.
Democrats are known for being Internet savvy, capitalizing on the power of social media to rally their supporters and to generate campaign funds.
But nothing beats the latest fundraising strategy cooked up by the Republican National Committee. At the center point of the new GOP campaign is George H. W. Bush and his famous multicolored socks.
For a minimum contribution of $35, campaign donors will receive a pair of limited-edition George H.W. Bush socks. One doesn’t have to be a Republican to avail of this special offer.
There’s more. For a donation of $32,400 which, by law, is the campaign contribution limit to a party’s national committee — the donor will receive a pair of USED George H. W. Bush socks.
The GOP said the supply of used socks is very limited, so it is advising interested campaign contributors to act fast.
