MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Senator Manny Pacquiao wants his proposed Philippine Boxing Commission (PBC) to be under his office!
Pacquiao’s new measure calls for the creation of the commission that will be under the direct administrative supervision of the Office of the President.
Ergo, the Senator wants the PBC to be under his office. That is, if he is elected President in 2022.
Talk about forward-looking.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Vegas Bureau) – Newly-crowned Miss Nevada USA, Filipino American Kataluna Enriquez will lead a protest when Filipino boxer and Senator Manny Pacquiao fights Errol Spence for the welterweight boxing title in Las Vegas next month.
Ms. Enriquez is the first ever transgender woman to compete in the Miss USA pageant which will determine the country’s representative to the next Miss Universe Pageant.
Pacquiao is a known homophobe who once said that gay people are “worse than animals.”
Enqiquez told The Adobo Chronicles that there is no place for homophobes in America, “nor in my state,” and that Pacquiao needs to take his bible advocacy elsewhere. “I am ashamed that he shares my nationality,” Enriquez said.
