MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Realizing she has no future as a book author, self-proclaimed investigative writer and blogger, Raissa Robles is trying her hand at satire.
For starters, she tweeted her “edited” version of the tourism slogan “Love The Philippines” by simply superimposing text of the names of countries which were included in the stock images of the DBB video.
It was a total failure for Ressa, but she is not giving up.
And as a gesture of unity, The Adobo Chronicles invited Robles to attend one of its satire composition workshops, at no cost to her. We’ll be glad to have Robles as an AC Iskolar.
SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – In a direct rebuke to Maria Ressa and Rappler, Twitter owner Elon Musk just endorsed The Adobo Chronicles and welcomed the satire site to his socmed platform.
It will be recalled that Rappler and Maria Ressa previously posted an opinion piece alleging that AC is fake news, not satire.
It seems Musk has a much better understanding of humor and satire than the supposedly learned Ressa and her paid Rapplerettes.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It was a family photo to behold. Not just a family photo, but a photo of the First Family.
First Lady Liza Marcos posted on her socmed account a photo of the Marcos clan with a birthday greeting for Imelda Marcos who just celebrated her 94th birthday.
But the excitement turned into hashtags by netizens who noticed who’s in the photo and who’s not.
The trending hashtags include:
#NasaanSiImee (Where is Imee Marcos)
#NasaanSiSandro (Where is Sandro Marcos)
#SinoYungIbangNasaRetrato (Who the hell are the others in the photo)
Well, maybe if Liza Marcos reads this, she’ll oblige with a response.
