Villar City: Metro Manila’s Center Of Gravity Or Tremor Epicenter?

LAS PIÑAS, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Las Piñas Bureau) – One of the latest and most ambitious real estate projects of the Villar Group of Companies, is the 1,500-hectare Villar City, an Italian-inspired community for the affluent, located at 1750 Daang Hari Road, Almanza Dos, Las Pinas City. It is being touted as Metro Manila’s “Center of Gravity.” That’s earthshaking!

But rumors have it that that developers may have uncovered a major earthquake fault line underneath the development project. The discovery led the Villar family to jack up the prices of housing and building units, saying all structures will have to be fitted with rollers and reinforced pillars and beams to protect its occupants in the event of a high-intensity earthquake.

From center to epicenter of gravity?

Senator Cynthia Villar Seeks Camella Homes Exemption From Reclamation Suspension!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Senator Cynthia Villar is appealing to President Bongbong Marcos to exempt Camella Homes from the order suspending all reclamation projects in Manila Bay. Camella Homes is one of the real estate and subdivision projects owned the Villar family.

Marcos suspended all 22 reclamation projects in Manila Bay pending a review of their compliance with environmental regulations.

“I seek exemption on the grounds that housing is one of the pillars of the country’s economic development,” Villar said.

The lady senator added that Camella Homes has already exhausted the conversion of agricultural lands into subdivisions and that her only hope is to rely on reclamation projects to keep their family business alive.

Malacañang has not responded to Villar’s appeal as of press time.

The property is one of the new acquisitions of Vista Land and Camella Homes, real estate companies owned by the Villar family.

The Senator was visiting her property with her developers to plan the building of an exclusive subdivision when she chanced upon the singer and the woman.
